Mighty-D4

A 100% Japanese-made AMR capable of navigating and traversing not only uneven surfaces but also wet roads
The Mighty-D4 is a 100% Japanese-made autonomous mobile robot (AMR) that enables digital transformation (DX) for material handling, patrols, inspections, and security within premises, including outdoor areas.
Its proprietary, patented frame enables stable operation even on uneven terrain with steps, potholes, and puddles. In addition to marker-free autonomous navigation, it supports multiple operating modes—including follow mode and remote control—enabling flexible operation tailored to on-site needs. Customization of sensors, body, and color is available starting from a single unit.

Unique Driving Modes Enabled by the Piezo-Sonic Motor
The Mighty-D4 features a unique steering mechanism equipped with a piezo-sonic motor.
In addition to the standard driving mode, it offers a horizontal movement mode with the steering locked and a spot-turning mode with the steering locked. Not only can it navigate narrow passages and L-shaped turns, but it also enables immersive filming through measurements taken while moving horizontally.

5 Operating Modes
The Mighty-D4 offers five operating modes that can be switched between: remote control via a controller or PC; follow mode, which navigates by recognizing a person or moving object leading the way; marker detection mode, which navigates by recognizing specific markers with its camera; and autonomous navigation (SLAM), which navigates using a pre-mapped map.

About Autonomous Navigation (SLAM)
The Mighty-D4 utilizes LiDAR and cameras to map its surroundings and navigate specific routes autonomously. Using LiDAR, it detects people and obstacles, and is capable of transporting cargo, conducting regular patrols, and performing equipment inspections while maneuvering to avoid obstacles or stopping as needed. In factories, logistics facilities, research facilities, and plants, it automates tasks that involve repeatedly traveling along predetermined routes, helping to alleviate labor shortages and improve operational efficiency.

About Follow-Along Operation
The Mighty-D4 can recognize workers and lead vehicles and automatically follow them as they move. It can be used in a variety of tasks where people and robots move together, such as transporting parts within factories, assisting with order picking in logistics warehouses, transporting materials at construction sites, and carrying tools and measuring instruments during equipment inspections. Workers no longer need to make round trips carrying loads, allowing them to focus on their core tasks. Another major advantage is that follow-along operation does not require the prior map creation or route planning necessary for autonomous navigation, so it can be put into use immediately after installation. It can be flexibly deployed in environments with frequent layout changes or temporary work areas, significantly lowering the barriers to robot adoption.

About Marker-Guided Navigation
The Mighty-D4 can move automatically while recognizing markers installed on floors and walls. It is easy to use not only in factories and warehouses but also in locations where the environment changes frequently, such as construction sites and event venues, making it simple to carry out transport to designated areas and perform regular patrols. Since it does not require the extensive mapping typically needed for autonomous navigation—and operations can begin simply by installing markers in the necessary locations—it is well-suited for short-term sites and proof-of-concept trials. It streamlines automated transport and patrol operations while minimizing the burden of installation and setup.

Remote Operation via the Internet
The Mighty-D4 can be operated remotely via the internet. Since you can monitor its movement and status while viewing the onboard camera feed, it enables efficient management of factories, facilities, construction sites, and outdoor installations located in distant areas. Whether for equipment inspections, patrols, nighttime surveillance, or assessing conditions during disasters, you can carry out necessary tasks while reducing the time and cost associated with sending personnel to the site. In the future, it will also be possible to manage multiple robots with a small staff, enabling a new work style based on remote monitoring and remote operations.

Superior Off-Road Capability Thanks to a Patented Frame Mechanism
The Mighty-D4 features a patented frame mechanism based on technology used in lunar exploration robots. It can travel stably not only on flat surfaces but also on shag carpets, gravel roads, farmland, and uneven terrain. It can climb slopes of 15 degrees or steeper and clear obstacles up to 12 cm high.

The Mighty-D4 can operate even when submerged in water up to the tire diameter (approx. 20 cm). It can navigate water-submerged areas up to 20 cm deep in water-intensive factories, on wet road surfaces, through outdoor puddles and mud, and in tunnels and waterways.
* Please note that the body and the Mighty-D4 as a whole are not completely waterproof.
Thanks to waterproofing around the legs, it can travel on wet surfaces
and through water up to 20 cm deep

The Mighty-D4 can operate for 24 hours by swapping batteries (using a backup battery).
The estimated operating time with the standard battery is 6–8 hours (varies depending on usage and road surface). Optional support for wireless charging and charging via a charging port is also available.
Capable of 24-Hour Continuous Operation

The Mighty-D4 is equipped with turn signals at two points on the front and two on the rear that visually indicate Mighty’s direction of travel. These turn signals allow you to see which direction Mighty is heading while in operation or in motion.
You can also visually confirm when it starts, passes through waypoints, and reaches the finish line. It is also possible to play music or voice announcements via the built-in speaker when executing actions (optional).

You can customize everything from adding sensors to expanding functionality, as well as choosing body styles and colors—even for a single unit. Since both the hardware and software are developed in-house, we can flexibly accommodate customization and individual support requests. A one-year warranty plus a maintenance and update package ensures worry-free operation.
